About the Entergy Community Development Corporation

The Entergy Community Development Corporation is the community investment arm of Entergy. It moves capital into the communities Entergy serves, so that a period of historic growth in the Gulf South produces stronger neighborhoods, better jobs, and more opportunity for the people who already live here.

Our mission

To turn economic growth into lasting community opportunity across Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas by investing capital where it can do the most good, and by partnering with the people closest to the work.

Why the CDC exists

Growth is arriving. The region is attracting investment at a scale it has not seen in a generation, in energy, manufacturing, logistics, and technology.

Opportunity is not automatic. Communities benefit from growth only when they are positioned to. That takes housing, skills, capital, and access.

Capital closes the gap. The CDC exists to put flexible capital into the projects that make a community ready, and to stay long enough to see them through.

What makes the CDC different

Most community giving spends a dollar once. The CDC is built around a revolving fund. When a loan is repaid, the money returns to the pool and goes to work on the next project, and the next. That structure lets one commitment compound into a record of investment rather than a single announcement.

Where we work

Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas. The CDC invests in the communities Entergy serves, from large metropolitan neighborhoods to rural parishes and counties, and it works through local partners in each one.

The CDC is governed by a board of directors that sets investment priorities and approves funding decisions.
